Literature was my first approach to art. Starting with my readings and my own writings, I have explored different artistic branches that allow me to express what moves, excites and intrigues me.

Through the visual arts, I have been creating a series of books that relate to my history, to everyone’s history, to our origins and our destinies.

Books are much more than the words and ideas that make them up. They have been, since the beginning of civilization, tools that the powerful have used to their advantage.

My books, my stories made into objects, aim to show a journey of the written word through my own experience as a reader, whether fiction, theatre, poetry, everyday news, religious texts. The reader is part of these stories as a character who is embraced by the melody of the writing, imbued with ideas, involved in adventures, frightened, educated, embarked on fantasies, informed, censored, indoctrinated.

From a technical point of view, the search and process of my artistic creation have to do with research, the contact with various materials that metaphorically convey my concepts – paper pulp, wood, cardboard, wire, clay, copper, tin, resin, plaster, acrylic, textile fibres -, and they are part of the meaning of each work. Regarding the conceptual framework, the interest focuses on exploring the traces of personal stories, the role of women, points of view, and power and its political, economic and religious derivatives.
